Lars van De Goor Final Project
1) Personal Background- Dutch photographer Lars van de Goor was born in 1964 on a houseboat in the middle of lush farmland In the Netherlands. He grew up being virtually part of the nature that surrounded him. His first passion was music however, Lars rediscovered the beauty of nature especially trees and forests, 2007 he joined photography.
2) Style- Their style is very artistic and dreamy like. There’s a lot of bold colors and wonderful lighting on each photograph. His style is having all ingredients such as, having light, composition, location together with all of your own feelings and experiences, he believes you have to put them in an image to attract the viewer. He never likes editing the actual photo he just likes adding more colors to his photos. He wants people to see the true beauty of nature.
3) Philosophy- He likes to approach his images with fresh eyes. When editing he likes to be surprised by what a certain filter will do. It must inspire him to go on. Sometimes, or better said most times, if an image dies in the process he will not be work on any further. It doesn't mean the photo is not good, but he can't uplift it at that moment. Therefore he almost never throws away any images. He believes years later, you might approach that image with whole new and other skills. In every photo he shows nature to its true self.
4) Influences- Lars van de goor dedication and effort in his work influences me. I love how he takes his time to make his photos stand out. Every photo he creates his unique and never looks the same. He really cares about every single piece of his work to attract someone. He has inspired me with my photography work.
5) Sources- The photos i've decided to use were Tree Faces, Deep Sea Party, and Ou est le petit chaperon rouge. Links I used were his site. http://larsvandegoor.com/the-poetry-of-nature/

My ComparisonsOld TreeWhile walking around the park I tried to find a tree that best resembled the tree in Lar Van De Goors photo. I had a difficult time matching the colors stand out as much as his. Also, the face on the tree didn't appear as well. My photo comparison needs a lot of work but I did try to make it stand out as much as his. I thought this photo was very different from his others it showed a different side to his work. The trees "face" caught my eye with its view point. I've never seen a photograph turn something so plain into a massive eye catcher. Although my photo doesn't look exact it does represent most of the photo.

Lars Van De Goor PhotographsTree FacesDeep Sea PartyWhen I saw his photograph I was looking through my phone and saw a photo in my phone that represented his. When I was in Washington DC I stumbled against this photo in a art gallery and snapped the photo of it. I edited some of his details onto my photograph as well. This photo really catches my eye. It reminds me of fishes swimming around all dressed up. This photo is very unique. The color of the background isn't the same but it is somewhat a replica of his photo.

Nature WalkAlthough Lars van de goor took his photo in fall I wanted to try to replica it. When I looked at the photo I thought it would be easy to create I was so wrong. This photo was the most difficult for me to create. I wanted mine to look exactly like his but I couldn't find a park to represent his. Also I tried editing the colors and it didn't turn out as well. Lars van de goors photo really stands out. Although you may have seem something similar to his photos, the way he makes his colors pop in his photo really draws your attention.
